Check for permanent 12v power at the fuse and, if required, replace fuse and/or reposition power wire to a12v permanent live - but not directly to the battery

Check ground/earth connections for continuity to motorcycle battery negative terminal and, if required, reposition wires to a more suitable ground/earth connection
